MORE THAN 50 YEARS

M Group derives from a foundation of fifty years’ experience in the construction industry.



Early 70’s

Avraam Mavrommatis (senior) in the post-war era moved as a young boy to Rhodes. From an early age he learned the skills of an electrician and went back to school to further expand his knowledge and then later on worked as a successful freelancer electrician.



1982

As Ioannis Mavrommatis returned from his Mechanical Engineering studies (B.Sc and M.Sc) at the University of Newcastle in the UK he joined his father to create the company A.Mavrommatis & Son LTD that specialised in electromechanical and HVAC contracting works.



1995

Ergoplan LTD a leader in infrastructure development and later to turn key project development. The integrity and diligence of the company brought forth more sophisticated projects to be developed on the rapidly expanding island of Rhodes such as the Andreas Papandreou Regional Hospital of the South Aegean, the Diagoras New Airport Terminal, various Exclusive Holiday Resorts and many other project developments.



2004

Ergoplan worked closely with the biggest tour operators to develop its own hotel resorts in Greece. As the leisure market expanded the founder decided to create a secluded family concept offering anything a family might need.



2005

The first hotel to be built and operated by the owner of Ergoplan was Mikri Poli 4-star in Rhodes where the meaning of Mikri Poli in Greek means “small town”.



2015

As the oldest son of the Mavrommatis family, Avraam Mavrommatis (junior) returned from his studies in Accounting and Finance (B.Sc & B.A ) at the Open University UK and the American College of Greece he offered insights and investment advice that would transform the company. The same year the biggest hotel in the group, TUI Magic Life Plimmiri by Atlantica begun its operation.



2019

With the integration of the second son of the family George Mavrommatis with a strong educational background in Information Technology (B.Sc ) and a specialization at the University of Skovde in Sweden (M.Sc) in applications to be used for business and educational purposes, the group is being once again transformed by utilizing digital media and digitalization processes like never before.


